Bijrani Zone Jim Corbett has a different view of its own. The Bijrani zone is considered the best for tiger watching among the six safari zones. Bijrani range is located near Amdanda Gate near Ramnagar. This zone is only half a kilometer away from Ramnagar city. Dense, deep forests with wildlife, grasslands and storm ravines are the major attractions of the Bijrani Wildlife Area. In which wildlife like -Big cats like Bengal tiger and leopard, as well as many other animals like wild elephant, black bear as well as a variety of deer and antelope like chital, sambar, hog deer are found in this area.

How to reach Bijrani Zone:

After entering the gate of this zone adjacent to Ramnagar, there is a buffer zone of 5 km, to cross which you have to go to the core zone. There are two forest rest houses located in this area and tourists are available to stay here after booking overnight stay. The names of 2 rest houses here are – one is Bijrani Forest Rest House and the other is Malani Forest Rest House.

Note: only 30 Safari jeeps are allowed in each shift
